Obituary

Carolyn Virginia Walker (Knighton) was born to the late Jimmy Knighton and Armetta Knighton on September 14, 1949, in Morgan, GA. She departed her earthly body and answered Gods call to enter eternal life on December 3, 2024.

She is survived by the only sister left of the Knighton Family of 10 siblings, Emma Jean Baxter of Pennsylvania.

Carolyn accepted Christ at an early age as a member of New Hope Baptist Church for many years. Upon moving to Albany, GA where she continued to worship God in her own way, she retired from Nancy's Cleaners after 36 years of employment.

Carolyn was loved by many people. She touched a lot of people's hearts throughout the years. Her presence made al occasions very special with open arms, filled with warmth, laughter and love.

She leaves behind to cherish a treasure trove of memories: three daughters: Tanja Brown of Birmingham, Alabama, Sharon Ford of Atlanta, Georgia and Shakira Sampson of Albany, Georgia. Also, her Godson that was more like a biological son (Rodney P. Mitchell) of Albany, Georgia. 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
